A travel influencer from Mumbai, Aanvi Kamdar was up to fatality from a 300-foot canyon, Kumbhe waterfall, near Raigad, Maharashtra. The 27-year-old was recording a reel video clip for her Instagram while on an outing with 7 close friends when she slipped and fell into the canyon.
The incident occurred on July 16 around 10:30 am, when it was raining heavily. The authorities got to the area and Kamdar was pulled up after a six-hour rescue procedure by the Kolad rescue group, the Shore Guard and Maharashtra State Electrical energy Board staff.
“As quickly as we reached the area, we understood that the lady has dropped almost 300-350 feet. Even after reaching her, it was tough to get her up, as she was injured and it was raining heavily. So we made a decision to obtain her out making use of an upright pulley-block,” a rescuer told NDTV.
After Kamdar was brought up, she was rushed to the Below Area Hospital of Mangaon where she passed away during treatment due to significant injuries from the fall, said the officials.
After the tragic event, the authorities have prompted vacationers and citizens to stay clear of any type of risky behavior that might place ones life in danger and appreciate the scenic beauties responsibly.
Kamdar, a local of Mumbai, was a chartered accountant. She got popularity on social media by making travel reels and revealing her love for discovering destinations, specifically during the downpour elegance.
